What do I shoot, you're probably wondering? I like to think of a portrait as being most any photo of a person. Photography, particularly of people, is full of all sorts of rules. Men must be posed this way, women must be posed that way, hard light is bad, soft light is good, formal portraiture is the end all...none of that works for me. I'd much rather concentrate on making great images that reflect the people I photograph, and that capture whatever it is we're after with the photos.

I'm available for something as simple as a headshot or as involved as a full day shoot for your band's new cd. Rates begin at $150.

Dogs!
Want your dog's picture taken? Even better! Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy photographing people but creating portraits of dogs is the most rewarding, unbelievable, incredible thing I've ever done. My approach to photographing your dog is no different than any other portrait session. No two dogs are the same so I don't bring any preconceived ideas with me. Some sessions have lots of action and activity while others are really laid back. Also, just because your dog is the star doesn't mean you don't get to have some fun too - you'll be interacting, playing and being silly along with me. Your dog will love it, and a happy dog means great photos!
I have two different types of sessions available:

The Studio - $175
Studio sessions take place...wait for it...in my studio! They're a bit shorter than my locations sessions, allowing for up to an hour of shooting time. An 8x12 print of your choice and web sized photos for sharing and emailing are included.

On Location - $350
My most popular, and most fun, session. The location is up to you, so if your dog has a favorite park or other outdoor spot we'll shoot there. If your dog is uncomfortable in public then I'm more than happy to make a housecall instead. Sessions typically run a couple of hours. A set of 4x6 prints of the finished images, an 8x12 print of your choice and web sized photos for sharing and emailing are included.

Prices are for up to two dogs. Add $100 to either session for three or four dogs. Dog park and doggie daycare sessions are available as well.
